You probably haven’t even had a chance to scratch the surface on last night’s release of League of Evil 2, but (as always) there is a brand new crop of titles hitting the App Store tonight at 11 PM (EST), vying for your attention.
Kicking things off (as usual) is Chillingo with THREE new titles: Blockolicious, Little Acorn and Toy Factory™. Blockolicious is a match-3 game where you must group squares by color to make juice boxes, then pop these to get loads of bonus points. In the platformer Little Acorn, players guide Mr. Nibbles, an adorable acorn hoarding squirrel, through 60 levels of mayhem, collecting the acorns scattered around each zone to stock up for winter. Finally Toy Factory™ looks like a cute social / time management game where you must manage a toy shop and the Factory floor, creating toys and then selling them. There is also a way for you to see your friends’ toy stores and factories.
Simogo, creators of the charming game Bumpy Road, are back with Beat Sneak Bandit, which once again features a unique control scheme. Utilizing what they are dubbing “rhythmadelic controls”, everything in the game moves rhythmically and players simply tap to the beat to sneak past patrolling guards, security lights, trapdoors and more to collect the clocks that were stolen from the townspeople. Another game that is all about stealth is Ayopa’s brilliant looking puzzle game Mailmen. You are a mailman just trying to do your job picking up and delivering mail, but the suburbs of Greenville pose a formidable challenge. It looks like it’ll be loads of fun and involve some strategical thinking.
Other notable titles releasing later tonight are Pizza Vs. Skeletons a 2D platformer where you control a “25-foot-tall pizza as it smashes through a horde of undead rivals on land, sea, and in outer space”. RobotGladi8tor, a first-person, swipe-fighting title set in a futuristic space-themed open-world. Telltale launches the second episode of Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space. And finally, there is Starfighter Overkill, a space shoot-em-up game with unlimited waves of enemies with which to do battle.
So which of these titles will you be buying tonight?
