On tap for tonight are some really great new releases!
Topping the list Com2uS’ HOMERUN BATTLE 2, the sequel to their mega hit HOMERUN BATTLE 3D. I had a chance to beta test this game and it improves upon the original in every way possible and is certainly a must-have title.
Surprise, surprise, Chillingo is back with a few new titles (these guys put out a lot of games!), launching a Superman platformer and a universal top-down 3D shooter called Extraction: Project Outbreak. Usual suspects, Bulkypix and G5 Entertainment are also back with the slick looking racing game RPM: Gymkhana Racing and the time management game Youda Survivor, respectively.
For all you Mojang fans that want to play the game anywhere, you’ll want to consider picking up Mojang official universal app, Minecraft – Pocket Edition for $6.99. Want something for nothing? Well, Kiloo is releasing a pretty sweet looking free, universal, Western-themed dual-stick shooter called Bullet Time HD.
I’m also noticing a trend of titles quietly (or not so quietly) launching earlier in the day on Wednesday to beat the 11pm (EST) rush. For instance Hidden Variable Studios’ brilliant puzzle game Bag It, which already had a soft launch in Canada, wasn’t supposed to appear until tomorrow, yet it’s already live. Late Tuesday afternoon, Telltale Games released Jurassic Park and today KLICKTOCK launched a fun freebie called ZONR™, Days of Wonder launched Ticket to Ride Pocket. Finally, Oceanhouse Media launched the first title in their new new educational line, The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, There’s No Place Like Space!: All About Our Solar System.
I guess we’ll see if this trend continues, but whatever the release date, there seems to be no shortage of great new content out there to play. What will you be buying tonight?
