In what is likely to be a more perfect union than Ned Stark and Catelyn Tully…Nerial, Devolver Digital, and HBO® have just unveiled Reigns: Game of Thrones.

This latest entry in the wildly popular swipe ‘em up series of monarchy simulation games will combine these two properties crafting an all-new Reigns experience based on the characters and locations of the award-winning HBO® TV series Game of Thrones®.

Players get to live out a fandom fantasy, ruling from the coveted Iron Throne; swiping left and right to “carefully navigate complex relationships and hostile factions” and change the fate of the Seven Kingdoms by deciding on all of the matters brought before Your Majesty.

According to the information we received, Reigns: Game of Thrones will extend beyond the HBO® series and explore possible futures for key characters “as seen through the fiery visions of Red Priestess, Melisandre”.

Players can choose to rule as Cersei Lannister, Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister, Sansa Stark, and more while changing between each king and queen to face challenges and mysteries unique to their story. Melisandre’s flames have proven hard to decipher and less than reliable, so players may encounter stories they do not expect. Peer into the flames and you may see Cersei rebuild the Great Sept of Baelor or discover what could happen to the Seven Kingdoms if Sansa Stark married Jaime Lannister.

Reigns: Game of Thrones features all of your favorite characters, beautifully depicted in Mieko Murakami’s artistic style, a haunting score by the HBO series composer Ramin Djawadi and lots of other little tidbits to entertain and delight fans of both Reigns and Game of Thrones.

The game will launch in October on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam and is available for pre-order now where available.

Autumn can’t come soon enough! I just recently got my hands on a beta-build of this, and it’s quickly looking like it’ll be my favorite of the Reigns series (which just seems to be getting better and better).
