After a successful release at the end of last year, developer Bluehole PNIX has just launched the biggest update yet to its popular arcade golfing app, Mini Golf King.
It may not reinvent the wheel when it comes to the sport (players still take turns tapping their ball towards the hole) but it does put a whole new spin on how the game can be enjoyed. There’s a truly entertaining party atmosphere that can be felt throughout its 30+ levels, with each course rendered in a relaxing visual style. Lush greens adorned with watermills, drawbridges, and tube rides feature plentifully in the game, as well as beach courses and Ancient Egyptian inspired holes which provide a more exotic flavor.
The control system is simple and intuitive, allowing you to line up your shot and swipe your ball with ease. Of course the real trick to mastering the game isn’t quite so simple, as you’ll have to navigate through various obstacles and traps scattered throughout each course. The truly cunning amongst you might just find a few shortcuts too, thanks to the many bombtraps and accelerator pads to be found.
Whilst the game can offer many hours of fun competing with your friends in PvP matchups, you can also take part in regular leagues, and, thanks to the new update, a brand new tournament mode which features four new courses.
There’s plenty of rewards on offer for the players that manage to rise to the top, including card bonuses and powerful new equipment. New tournaments and leagues begin can be joined every 2-3 weeks so if you fancy taking a swing, you can find Mini Golf King to download right now from the App Store and Google Play.
