GA8_screen_01First off, a big congratulations to Neil, Ben and the rest of the team over at Tin Man Games on their 5th Anniversary!

From their humble beginnings with a fun little casual game called Frootrees (and its Halloween-themed companion) the studio soon found their niche with their wonderfully executed series of adventure book apps beginning with the release of their first Gamebook Adventures title, An Assassin in Orlandes in December of 2008.

The growing success of their Gamebook Adventures series led to more platforms as well as some amazing partnerships and high-profile adventure book titles like Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106, Trial of the Clone (written by Zach Weinersmith and narrated by Wil Wheaton) and several Fighting Fantasy titles.

Having taken several years off from their Gamebook Adventures series to focus on these other projects, Tin Man finally returns to their roots with their eighth Gamebook Adventures title, Curse of the Assassin, the direct sequel to the book that started it all, An Assassin in Orlandes.

The Tin Man team has reunited with author S.P. Osborne and illustrator Pirkka Harvala to whisk readers back to Orlandes City where “you pick up your life some time after the events of the first book”.

GA8_screen_04Regarding Curse of the Assassin, Tin Man’s Creative Director Neil Rennison has said “This is an epic story and one of our biggest yet. You can expect a few twists and turns, and fans of our series can look forward to a few cameos and continuity from our previous titles”.

For those of you who may have missed the first book in the series, you really are missing out! For a limited time, you can pick up An Assassin in Orlandes for just 99¢ *reg $5.99) and the newest book (released today) Curse of the Assassin is available at a special launch price of $2.99 (reg. $5.99) for a limited time.

If you still haven’t checked out any of the Gamebook Adventures series, then now is a great time to jump into it at a big discount. Or if fantasy is not your thing, then definitely check out some of their sci-fi adventure book titles.
