Freeverse, the developer of probably the best (and only officially licensed) Skee-Ball game for the iPhone, has just announced that they will be releasing NBA Hotshot for the iPhone. It is their take on the popular basketball free throw game from the arcade. This should not be confused with Freeverse’s other (currently available) basketball-themed title, Flick NBA Basketball, which is a collection of Basketball-themed minigames.
NBA Hotshot will offer both the Classic Mode form the arcade, where players race against a clock to sink as many baskets as possible, as well as a new Three Strikes mode where accuracy is the name of the game! There is fully licensed NBA Prize Gallery in which players can earn cool prizes including actual team balls that you can use in-game. Plus+ integration means there will also be global leaderboards and achievements.
Finally, so you and your friends don’t have to play alone, five players can battle it out head-to-head (locally) in any game mode via bluetooth.
Wow! This looks like it is shaping up to be another successful port of a physical arcade game by Freeverse!
