Welcome to episode 98 of the podcast!
We kick off this week’s show with a discussion of Apple’s Third Quarter Earnings, iOS 8 beta 4 and the public beta of Yosemite. Then we dive into apps with the 2 year-old, but recently featured motion comic book app Madefire Motion Books & Comics and the Jazzy Blue Note 75.
On the games front we start with undeniably the biggest iOS release of last week, and gorgeous new entry in the franchise, Modern Combat 5: Blackout. Then we discuss a couple of titles that I first saw at PAX East. First is the cute, casual, point and click adventure / exploration game The Phantom PI Mission Apparition. Then we take a look at the interactive space adventure Revolution 60.
Finally we round out our gaming discussion with the free endless swimmer Fish & Shark, an adorable point and click adventure game for kids called ShipAntics: The Legend of The Kiki Beast, Cartoon Network’s latest, The Great Prank War, a defense game based on The Regular Show and a unique fast-paced word game called Hexiled.
