Zen Studios, the team behind the spectacular iOS pinball game Zen Pinball which features a number of MARVEL Comic themed tables announced that they are taking their pinball wizardry to another treasured Disney-owned property…Star Wars™.
This new app will give players access to a collection of Star Wars™ themed tables (three to start) featuring all of their favorite characters from the various Star Wars™ universes. There is Empire Strikes Back table feature Luke Skywalker, Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader and more. The ‘Boba Fett’ table will feature the title character and the he Sarlacc Pit as well as others from the original classic trilogy. Finally the of the initial three-table pack will be based around the popular Clone Wars series.
Like Zen’s previous pinball titles, there will be some interactive 3D characters on each table and lots leaderboard / challenge features to get your competitive juices flowing as you try to score the most points among your friends and the worldwide gaming community.
“It’s been over 30 years since Star Wars, videogames, and solid state pinball all burst onto the entertainment scene, and their popularity endures today. We’re excited to be combining all three for the very first time,” said Neil Sorens, Zen Studios’ Creative Director. “Our designers are huge Star Wars fans, and you can expect every detail in every table to reflect their passion for the Star Wars universe.”
If you read my review you may recall that I loved Zen’s Marvel releases, so I’m really looking forward to playing these tables as well.
We don’t have any details on an exact release date or pricing just yet, but if it follows Zen Pinball’s pricing model, the tables are likely to cost $1.99 each. We’ll let you know when we know more. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
