For all of you Steam/PC gamers, the Epic Games Store has just released two new free games for the Week of February 12th.
Now through February 19th at 11am, you can grab Nobody Wants to Die and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark completely FREE.
This week’s freebies look like entertaining ones that put you in the shoes of investigative protagonists.
I’m not familiar with Nobody Wants to Die, but it looks good from the screenshots. As for The Darkside Detective, I previously played and enjoyed the original game (which is also available on iOS), so I’m looking forward to checking out this sequel.
If, like me, you grew up in the days of Sierra Online and their amazing point-and-click adventure game series, this one will be right up your alley.
Nobody Wants to Die
This is an interactive noir story set dystopian world of New York, 2329. You play as Detective James Karra, leading the investigation using advanced technology in pursuit of a serial killer targeting the city’s elite.
The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark
Join Detective McQueen as he puzzles his way through 6 cases, risking life and pixelated limb to solve the macabre mysteries that plague the poor town of Twin Lakes.
How do you get these games for free?
Right from your iPhone or browser you can just log into the Epic Games Store and purchase these titles for nothing (they will be free at checkout) and they are yours to keep.
After checkout, they’ll be added to your Epic Games library, then you can install and play them any time your Steam Deck (or gaming PC).
If you’ll be playing these on a Steam Deck, I highly recommend installing the Heroic Games Launcher, which gives you an easy way to access your entire library of games from the Epic Games Store, GOG and Amazon Prime Gaming. Check out these easy instructions.
