Disney Crossy Road has impressively reached more than 10 million downloads since it first launched a mere three weeks ago on April 7th.
In celebration of the release of the live-action Jungle Book film, Disney has released its first content update to the game, adding a whole new world (now I’m gonna have that song stuck in my head) based on the Jungle Book.
There update also adds 25 brand-new figurines to unlock, 15 of them are in the new Jungle-themed world and 14 of the whole 25 are hidden.
The Jungle Book world includes characters like Mowgli, Baloo, King Louie, Kaa, Shere Khan and more, and as you are racing across the elephant, antelope and other animal filled streets, you’ll also have to avoid fierce lightning storms which will set sections of the jungle on fire. The blaze will start to spread quickly, cutting you off from crossing at certain areas of the jungle until the flames burn themselves out. It adds a fun new twist to the game.
My daughters and I are all still seriously addicted to this game as we try to unlock all of the characters.
It looks like with these recent additions, I’m now just under halfway toward getting all of the characters with 73 of the 150 unlocked.
If you haven’t already, you should definitely give the game a try as each new world changes up the gameplay a bit.
