If time has gotten away from you and you still need a last minute gift, then why not gift your favorite apps to friends and/or loved ones.
All it takes is a few taps from either iTunes or the App Store app on your iDevice and you can have a copies of your favorite apps and games emailed to anyone you’d like and you can even select when you want it to be delivered.
From iTunes
- Search for the App You’d like to gift.
- Click on the arrow next to the Get/Download/Update/Price button and select ‘Gift The App’.
- Then a dialog will appear where you can type a gift message, the recipient’s email address and select whether you want it delivered ‘now’ or at a later date.
From Your iDevice
- Open the App Store app
- Search for the App You’d like to gift.
- Click on the share button (square with upward arrow) at the top right of the screen.
- Select ‘Gift’ from the share options.
- Then a dialog will appear where you can type a gift message, the recipient’s email address and select whether you want it delivered ‘now’ or at a later date.
Note that this also works for Songs, Movies and TV shows as well.
