Indie iOS game composer turned game developer Whitaker Trebella has just released the first teaser trailer for his next game, Pivvot, which he describes as “a thrilling game of strategic avoidance.”
Pivvot aims to challenge your reflexes, “as players progress through the game, their reaction time and logic process will be increasingly tested”. Once again, like his successful debut game, Polymer, Trebella keeps both the visuals and controls (only two buttons) fairly minimalistic. By doing do he allows the inherently challenging gameplay to be the main focus of the experience.
Now that’s not meant to imply that Pivvot looks in any way bad, in fact, as you can see in the trailer, it is rather fetching in a flowy neon shapes sort of way, and of course it has a great soundtrack as well.
I’ve been having a good deal of fun with some of the early builds of this title.
At this point, I’m not sure what I can reveal gameplay-wise, so for now you’ll just have to figure it out from what you see in the trailer below.
The game should be getting an official release sometime in the near future.
