Über iOS-publisher Chillingo (a division of Electronic Arts Inc.) has just announced that they are teaming up with Relentless Software to launch Quiz Climber for iPhone this Spring. Relentless Software is the company behind the hugely popular Buzz!™ series of trivia games for the the PS2/PS3. As a big fan of quiz games and the Buzz!™ series in particular, I am excited to see what Relentless brings to the iOS platform.
Right now details and screenshots are minimal as Chillingo is saving the big reveal until the Game Developers Conference (GDC), being held San Francisco at the end of the month. Here is what we know about Quiz Climber so far:
Quiz Climber is a social quiz where players pit their knowledge against their friends. Featuring 1000s of questions friends get competitive as the addictive gameplay leaves them desperate to leapfrog their pals in the leaderboards. Quizzers answer as many questions as possible in a row to climb the quiz tree. The only catch is the further they progress the harder it gets.
