In an effort to both boost the number of online players and battle software piracy, starting tomorrow, Godzilab has decided to switch StarDunk over to the Freemium model.
The main reason for this switch is to have more online players, all the fun in StarDunk is when you compete against hundreds of online players, we are hoping that StarDunk being free will bring a lot more players. Another reason for that switch is an answer to the high piracy rate on Stardunk. In this free version, you will be able to play up to 10 online contests, and if you want to continue playing online you will be able to purchase the premium upgrade which will remove this limitation.
Existing StarDunk owners don’t need to do anything, you will be converted over to the “premium” version automatically.
New Features are in-store as well!
Since its release, StarDunk has already received a number of really great updates adding both Gamecenter support and stats allowing the player to see how well he performs. While these have made a fantastic game even better, there is even more in store!
A major content update 1.3 should be out shortly (probably this weekend) adding:
- 1 new moki theme with the graphics style of the game iBlast Moki
- 1 new glow theme
- 1 new glow ball with new capacities
- a new leaderboard for the best scores of the week.
When will this happen?
The switchover to FREE should occur somewhere between 11pm and midnight EST. tonight, so get ready and watch for a tweet from me when it’s available. It’s available for free NOW!
