It’s 11pm (EST) on a Wednesday night, so that means it is time to hit the App Store in search of some fresh entertainment.

Tonight we’ve got a lot of goodies including one (or perhaps two) titles in one of my all-time favorite genres…the point and click adventure. There are also puzzle games, racers, and even a little arcade action.

Leave a comment and let us know which of these titles you’ll be picking up tonight.

Universal

Soccer Superstars 2012
GAMEVIL Inc.

Free

Soccer Superstars 2012 looks like it’ll be a great new addition to GAMEVIL’s free-to-play soccer franchise, offering players an immersive team management component with their traditional arcade soccer game play.

Universal

Velocirapture
[adult swim]

99¢

On a special 50% off LAUNCH sale through Monday June 25th, this latest irreverent title from the twisted folks at [adult swim] will have you “Sorting the faithful from the faithless with a flick of your finger!”.

Universal

Fish Heroes
Craneballs Studios LLC

99¢

Fish Heroes offers a different take on the Angry Birds-style, destroy stuff physics puzzler. It is a 3D, first person point of view in a similar vein to Save Toshi! where you have a full 360 degrees of rotation around your target.

Universal

Asphalt 7: Heat
Gameloft

99¢

Featuring some really nice visuals and over 60 different vehicles, this seventh outing for Gameloft’s Asphalt franchise looks like a steal at just 99¢

Universal

Centipede®: Origins
Atari

99¢

An Atari classic gets a reboot in Centipede®: Origins. It’s gnomes vs. bugs in this updated version of the game with 3 upgradeable weapons and gadgets which can be purchased via an in-game coin currency system.

Universal

Astronot
Wade McGillis

$1.99

Astronot looks like developer Wade McGillis’ love letter Atari. Anyone who grew up playing the Atari 2600 will certainly smile watching one of the best iOS game trailers I’ve ever seen, complete with a catchy tune and lyrics suitable for the viually impaired and appearance by an 8-bit Doctor Who, fixing the release date.

Universal

The Act
Chillingo Ltd

$2.99

I’m not quite sure what to make of this one, but it’s got me excited. Billed as an “interactive comedy”, The Act looks like some sort of mix between a cartoon, a point and click adventure and a Jerry Lewis film. I’m really curious to see how this one plays.

Universal

Boom Brigade 2
10tons Ltd

$2.99

While I own it, I never really played the first Boom Brigade title, though I know it was quite popular. Combining elements from line drawing and turret defense games, Boom Brigade 2 looks like a fun strategy game. Boom Brigade 2 is on an introductory 25% off sale until June 22nd.

Universal

Yesterday
Bulkypix

$4.99

Possibly the title that I’m most excited for this week, Yesterday looks like a deliciously dark point and click adventure game.
