Pocket Planes
Free
|
Tiny Tower creators, NimbleBit are back with Pocket Planes and they’ve brought their cute little Bitizens with them. It is a casual airline simulation game, in the style of Tiny Tower, where players try to grow their fleet and customer base as they shuttle passengers and cargo to over 250 cities. This looks like it’ll be another habit-forming title for NimbleBit, so what’s the over/under on Zynga coming out with ‘Flying With Friends‘ or ‘Zynga Airport‘?

Max Astro: Stranded Beyond the Stars

Max Astro looks like it could be a fun action puzzle game, with a little bit of a Space Invaders vibe. It won’t even cost you anything to check it out.

Those of you jonesing for some new hidden object gaming fun will be pleased to see this fresh ‘free-to-try’ title from G5 Entertainment, one of the most popular developers/publishers in this genre.

Temple Run: Brave
99¢
|
The über-popular free-to-play title, Temple Run gets the Hollywood treatment by Disney. A new, ‘Brave’-themed version of the game called Temple Run: Brave launches tonight to tie-in to next week’s theatrical release of the Disney/Pixar animated film. Unlike its predecessor, this game will not be free-to-play, and will instead carry a Hollywood tax of 99¢. However, the changes are not just skin deep, there is actually a new “arrow shooting” mechanic that fits in with the action of the film. This will surely be a hit with the kids!

Suspect In Sight
99¢
|
In Suspect In Sight, players chase down bad guys from high above the city with a police chopper and use its spotlight to catch criminals. I’m always a sucker for these humorous cartoony arcade action games.

Eager Beaver
99¢
|
The first of Chillingo’s two new animal-themed games, Eager Beaver is a cute looking physics puzzler (Chillingo’s bread and butter). Help Edgar the Eager Beaver build dams to stop the raging waters from destroying his beloved home from the elements and a crazy cast of critter cronies.

Disco Kitten
99¢
|
If the internet has taught me anything, it’s that people love dancing cats! Tonight’s Chillingo-published, adorable, yet reflex testing game Disco Kitten appears to be some sort of footloose, feline rhythm/time-management hybrid…with electricity.

WarGames: WOPR
99¢
|
Officially licensed, WarGames: WOPR is a tile-based strategy game that puts you in the role of the iconic WOPR supercomputer from the 1983 film WarGames and pits you against various characters from the movie. I have no idea if this game is any good, but I did watch WarGames a lot as a kid, so I’ll probably be picking this one up. Sorry, I couldn’t find a trailer for the game, so you’ll just have to enjoy the trailer for this classic Matthew Broderick film below.

Toca Train
$1.99
|
Kid-pleasers Toca Boca are back with their toothy grin and another great interactive toy, Toca Train. Already a winner in our household, Toca Train puts your child in the conductor’s seat of their very own train, making stops for cargo, picking up and dropping off passengers, tooting the horn or just enjoying the scenery. If you have young kids, this is a title that is not to be missed. For those of you who haven’t already seen the video Apple showed at WWDC, I highly recommend watching this moving film that illustrates how developers like Toca Boca are making wonderful apps that transcend different cultures and physical and/or mental disabilities.

The team at Crescent Moon Games has been on fire lately, with a number of great new releases. Tonight they bring the popular popular Xbox Live Arcade title, Mutant Storm to the iPad. A rather nice looking neon arcade shooter, it will launch at a special sale price of $2.99 (40% off).

Babel Rising 3D
$2.99
|
I’m not sure how/if this is related to BulkyPix’s 2009 game BABEL Rising, but the premise seems to be the same. You must use your godly powers to prevent the Towers of Babel from forming in this mission and endurance-based defense game. Related or not, Ubisoft offers up a cool looking new persepctive on the defense genre with Babel Rising 3D.
