This Week’s Notable New Releases Will Fill You With Fear & Test Your Defenses

It’s hard to believe that we are already nearly a month into 2011 Out of the hundreds of games released on the App Store this week, I’d like to hilight what look like some of the strongest new releases.

You’d think it was October and not January, as EA Mobile and BulkyPix aimed to frighten iDevice owners with their releases of Dead Space and Hysteria Project 2 (respectively) for both the iPhone and iPad. Paladog! (by FazeCat) and Legendary Wars (by Liv Games) both look like fun tower defense games with some unique army/upgrade elements.

Meanwhile, Chaotic Box launched a free iAd-supported version of their excllent arcade game Silverfish (see my review of the full game) which features a couple of unique Game Center achievements that aren’t in the paid version. We also have some casual fare including a love-themed version of the popular Scene-It titles just in time for Valentine’s Day.
