The Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus Is Already On Backorder Until November

If you are on the East Coast, just waking up now to pre-order a shiny Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus get ready for some heartbreak.

So much for that September 16th delivery, the Jet Black models of the iPhone 7 Plus are now not even shipping until November!!!!
What limited stock Apple had of what anyone could have told you would easily be their best selling models sold out super quickly.

While I didn’t even attempt to pre-order one myself, I’ve been told that even at 3am EST (right when the units when on sale) shipping dates for Jet Black units were already pushed out until October.

Once again, like we saw with the gold iPhone 6 and Rose Gold iPhone 6S, Apple has really failed to anticipate customer demand and production wasn’t properly ramped up for the Jet Black Units.

Current availability for iPhone 7 Pluses in other colors varies a bot depending on capacity, color and carrier, with the longest lead time being 2-3 weeks and a Rose Gold Verizon unit being the ONLY one still available for release day.

As expected the smaller iPhone 7, whose lack of dual-lens camera means it doesn’t get much of an upgrade from last year, is pretty much still widely available across all carriers except T-Mobile who have a 2-3 week lead time on all devices.

It’s no wonder why Apple has already said that they will not be making their first weekend iPhone 7 sales numbers public.
