Well it is now officially official as Apple has mailed out its formal invitation to their rumored October 22nd Press event.
“We still have a lot to cover.”
That’s the tagline that accompanied the invite and that is a bit of an understatement as there is quite a few things likely to be discussed, demoed and detailed at next week’s big reveal.
The event will take place at 1pm EST at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and is expected to include the next-gen iPad and iPad mini as well as an update on OS X Mavericks and new Mac Hardware. Other possible topics may include a new version of the Apple TV, a demo of iOS gaming controllers from Logitech and/ or MOGA and (it is a longshot) a glimpse of the rumored iWatch.
Hopefully Apple find some way to surprise us this time around, as these Apple events have surely been lacking them in recent years.
At this point is it unknown if Apple will be streaming the event, but we are keeping our fingers crossed.
We’ll bring you all the details and our impressions of the event after Apple has had a chance to lay their cards on the table.
How about you…are you excited for new iPads? I know I am!
PS. Thanks to the folks at AllThingsD for the image of invite…lucky ducks!
