Acram Digital, the Polish publisher/developer behind some stellar PC/mobile digital board game adaptations (including UNMATCHED, Stone Age, Tokaido, and more) has just revealed that their highly anticipated K2: Digital Edition is officially launching on Steam on 29th April, 2025, with iOS & Android release details to follow soon.

A 2012 Spiel des Jahres Kennerspiel Nominee, K2 is hand-management and simultaneous action selection board game in which players (using identical decks of cards) control 2-person teams of mountaineers, attempting to climb to the summit of K2 and return before the other players (without perishing in the treacherous conditions along the way).

Acram’s Steam demo has just been updated based on player feedback and is available to download now on Steam.

Some of the improvements made in this latest version include:

– Enhanced visibility and clarity when selecting climbers, making it easier to plan your ascent.
– Adjusted interface scaling for better readability.
– Added additional tooltips to provide clearer explanations of game mechanics, helping both new and experienced players navigate.
– Additional Loading Screen quotes.
– General stability and performance enhancements.

K2 is a board game that I’ve had an interest in checking out for quite some time, but have never had the opportunity to play.

Once Acram’s iOS release becomes available, I will certainly be getting my climb on to remedy that.

As soon as I have more info on that, I will update this post.
