Tin Man Games continue their mobile Fighting Fantasy gamebook series, this time weaving their digital magic with Steve Jackson’s 1984 classic, House of Hell.
Taking refuge in the infamous House of Hell has to be the worst mistake of your life! The dangers of the torrential storm outside are nothing compared to the blood-curdling adventures that await you inside. Who knows how many hapless wanderers like yourself have perished within its gruesome walls? Be warned! Tonight is going to be a night to remember…
Steve Jackson, co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy series and author of House of Hell, said: “It’s been 30 years since the original Fighting Fantasy series was published, way back in the pre-digital era. Ian Livingstone and I have always wanted the series to keep up with the times, and this treatment of House of Hell is exactly what we were hoping for. Neil and Ben at Tin Man have excelled themselves with this iOS/Android version. They have reached a new standard of digital gamebooks design excellence, and I congratulate them on this achievement.”
The app contains all the great features you’ve come to expect from one of Tin Man Games’ gamebook apps, plus the ability to switch between the updated and original circa 1984 illustrations. It is a Universal app which costs $5.99 and is available for purchase now.
This year is already shaping up to be another big year for the guys at Tin Man Games having already announced that their digital release of the very first Fighting Fantasy book ever released The Warlock of Firetop Mountain will be coming later this year. They also have a number of unannounced projects in the works as well, which will be made public soon.
If you are attending the PAX East conference being held in Boston, MA in March, you should know that head Tin Man, Neil Rennison, will be their showing off some goodies, perhaps including (if you ask nicely) one or more of those yet to be announced projects.
