Coaster Crazy
Free

From the creators of RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3 and LostWinds® comes this really different freemium rollercoaster building game featuring an eclectic cast of characters. Just by tracing your finger over your device’s screen you can build and modify your coaster as you attempt to please each of your riders’ rather specific set of requirements to earn the best score possible. Some love their coasters fast, while others do not. Ride-goers consist of speed junkies, little old ladies, professors with volatile Nitro Glycerin and even zombies, there is a lot of crazy stuff going on at the theme park today!

Flea Symphony
99¢
|
Flea Symphony is a charming title that is part physics puzzler, part rhythm game as you move a variety of instruments around the screen (via sliders) to get the bouncing fleas to accurately perform each level’s short melody. This would be a fun pickup for casual gamers and kids alike.

Beatdown!
99¢

I gotta say, that I’m a big fan of Ravenous Games’s retro-style games and Beatdown! looks like it’ll be another crowd-pleaser. This Double Dragon-style beat-em up game features 20 level as well as an endless mode, boss battles, 30 different types of enemies and iCade support (yeah, that’s gonna be rad!). It’s time to kick some pixels!

Gear Jack
99¢
|
A solid ‘slide and jump’ platformer, I’ve just started digging into this one, but so far it has intuitive controls and a beautiful silhouette graphical style. Its 30 unique (and challenging) levels are a great bargain for just 99¢.

Max Awesome
99¢
|
Well it looks like Chillingo may have just beat Hello Games to getting Joe Danger to the app store. Obviously inspired by Trials and the aforementioned Mister Danger, this motorbike daredevil platformer looks brilliant and will certainly cause some controversy as it makes its way up the App Store charts.

Lazy Raiders

Namco ports their gravity-defying XBLA title to iOS. Perfectly suited for the mobile device, players must help Dr. Diggabone navigate his archaeological dig-sites by tilting, spinning and flipping the world around him in a quest to find hidden ruins and unearth lost relics. looks like fun, if you don’t mind making a fool of your self while spinning your iPhone around in public. I couldn’t find a trailer for the iOS release, so the one below is for the XBLA title.

Cubed Rally Redline
99¢
|
The follow-up to Cubed Rally Racer, Cubed Rally Redline kicks things into high gear with two new vehicles and the ability to hop into a speedboat for sections of the (endless) track in this racer. I enjoyed the original (see trailer below) so I’ll probably be picking this one up as well. Look at that cool dinosaur in the middle of the track!

Total Recoil
$1.99
|
Total Recoil is an (over the) top-down arcade shoot-em up with outrageous weapons, explosions and boss battles. Enlisting as a lowly Private, you must work your way up the ranks by basically blowing lots of stuff up! If you are looking for some on-the-go mindless destruction for when you can’t be home playing Black Ops 2…this may satisfy your blood-lust. As the developers put it, “there are only two rules in Total Recoil – Rule One: Shoot everything that moves. Rule Two: Shoot everything that doesn’t.”

Ninja Kiwi is back with another installment in their Bloons Tower Defense game series, Bloons TD 5. While I personally have no experience with these games, I know that they are really popular, so it is probably worth checking out.

Finally, last but not least is a title developed exclusively for iOS. There is also real-time Game Center backed multiplayer matchups and the ability to get a more console like experience by playing on your TV.
