Now through 11pm EST on Sunday October 15th, comiXology is slashing the prices of nearly their entire collection of The Walking Dead digital comics in half.
Having recently reached its 102nd regular issue, Robert Kirkman’s long-running, The Walking Dead comic book series is the inspiration for the amazing AMC TV series of the same name, returning for its third season this Sunday night.
To celebrate the series premiere all regular issues 2 through 99 (issue 1 is FREE) as well as all four ‘Survivor’s Guide’ special issues have been reduced from $1.99 to 99¢ each. The sixteen 6-issue collections as well as the Complete ‘Survivor’s Guide’ collection are on sale for $4.99 and $3.99 respectively.
As I’ve mentioned before, one really nice thing about comiXology is that any issues of The Walking Dead that you purchase can be viewed on your iPhone or iPad using either the FREE comiXology Comics app or Walking Dead Comic app, both of which are really slick apps, with great interfaces.
I especially like the way their The Walking Dead app allows you to jump from panel to panel and it does a very nice job framing them. It is worth noting that comiXology also has Kindle and Android versions of their main comic book reader app as well, and you can purchase these comics as gifts.
Once you purchase the comics they are yours forever and you can add / remove them from your device any time you need to.
