Now that you’ve gotten your devices all updated with iOS6, it’s time to start looking for new games.

Due yesterday’s release of iOS 6, a number of devs pushed up their new releases, so many of these titles have actually been available for a few days now. From entertainment for your little ones to mobile titles featuring console heroes, there are a number of tempting goodies.

So let’s get started…

Universal

Cobypic Starter Book
Framed Creations

Free

This is a fun coloring app for kids with a twist. Instead of just selecting a color from a tray, your child captures the colors using the camera on his or her iDevice. My 5 year-old Emily got to play an early build of this app and she absolutely loves it. She excitedly runs about the house finding things to use for colors.

I highly recommend this freebie and I’ve been told an expanded paid version is still in review with Apple.

Universal

Recess Riot
Deceased Pixel LLC

99¢

Super Mega Worm creator Deceased Pixel is back with a new high-score/endurance game, with retro-gaming system skins, collectible hats, iCade support and a chiptune soundtrack.

iPhone

BoxPlots
Ingot games

99¢

This looks like a delightfully whimsical take on the traditional box moving puzzle game.

Universal

JAM: Jets Aliens Missiles
Forest Moon Games

99¢

The first title published by Forest Moon Games, JAM looks like a fun R-Type style scrolling shooter choc full of bullets and boss battles.

Universal

Castle Raid
Arcticmill

$1.99

Kind of a cool twist on defense games, this RTS allows for up two players to go head to head in 5-8 minute battles on the same device.

Universal

Toca Band
Toca Boca

$1.99

Heros of children everywhere, Toca Boca is back with a fun new toy for kids called Toca Band. Loads of cute characters and plenty of rhythm is is a must have title for kids. Both my daughters sure seem to love it (we’ll have a full review very soon).

Universal

Rayman Jungle Run
Ubisoft

$2.99

This platfomer brings console favorite Rayman back to iOS after a long hiatus, and is already garnering some huge review scores as well as a feature from Apple.

Universal

Jump to Medieval – Time Geeks
Cory Games

$2.99

Everyone’s favorite Time Geeks (and Zoorgs) are back, but this time around the Where’s Waldo style gameplay has been replaced with RTS/Defense as you attempt to fight off the “evil Zoorg creatures who are lurking in the medieval village looking for the precious orb”.

Universal

STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN MOBILE
CAPCOM

$2.99

Another big console title hits the mobile space with CAPCOM’s brawler that pits the Street Figher and Tekken universes against one another. The game is currently at a special launch price of $2.99 (reg $4.99).

Universal

Lili™
BitMonster, Inc.

$4.99

This RPG/puzzle game featuring what almost looks like a young Lara Croft, offers up some rather amazing looking visuals. No idea if it plays as good as it looks, but it certainly grabbed my attention.

iPad

The Room
Fireproof Games

$4.99

A mysterious looking puzzle game for the iPad, The Room appears to challenge your wits, while offering a few chills.

Universal

DEMONS’ SCORE
SQUARE ENIX

$6.99

An interesting looking departure from SQUARE ENIX’s usual mobile fare, this is a rhythm fighting game in which you “battle demons in time to the rhythm”. While at first it may seem inexpensive (by Square’s standards) it looks like there is quite a bit of $2.99 IAPs which may spoil the experience for some. Hey at least it’s a universal app.
