Another year is quickly coming to a close, so that means it’s time for you to help our friends over at 148Apps select the best iOS apps.
That’s right folks, it is time for the 2011 Best App Ever Awards!
These awards honor the best apps across four main categories: Overall App Awards, Application Awards, Educational App Awards, Gaming App Awards. Amongst these categories are over 100 unique awards including Best Visual Design, Best Doing Good App, Best Toy App, etc.
The best part of the Best App Ever Awards is that (unlike the Oscars) they aren’t just picked by industry insiders, YOU have a say in what Apps get nominated and are selected!
To nominate an app simply click on the award name and follow the prompts.
You are invited to nominate any iOS (or Android app) in any of the categories, however you may only nominate an app once per award, but may nominate a single app for multiple awards. You may also nominate more than one app for the same award. See the full list of rules here.
Once all nominations are totaled and verified, we’ll take the top 10 nominated apps for each platform in each category. In total we will have up to 10 nominations for each platform in each category. Once the final nominees are set, the site will open for voting. Voters can cast their ballot for a single app in each category division (one vote for an iOS app and one for Android per category).
There will be one winner selected for each division in each category (two winners per category, one for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad, and one for Android).
The 10 iOS (and Android) apps that get the most nominations across all categories will compete for the prestigious Best App Ever Award. A single app will be crowned the Best App Ever based on user votes.
Nominations are being accepted though December 31st, 2011, so support your favorite Apps, developers, or publishers by nominating their apps!
