ALK Technologies just announced that their new, re-designed versions of CoPilot Live Premium USA and CoPilot Live Premium HD USA apps have been approved by Apple and are now available on the iTunes App Store. To celebrate the launch, they are offering the apps at a special low introductory sale price.
For the next 7 days you can grab CoPilot Live Premium USA for just $9.99 (reg $24.99) or CoPilot Live Premium HD USA for only $14.99 (reg. $34.99).
As I previously reported, from my hands on experience with a pre-release build, this new version offers a host of new features and a completely redesigned (and very intuitive) UI!
CoPilot’s ActiveTraffic™ feature which uses real-time traffic conditions information to “intelligently calculate the fastest route to your destination, provide an accurate ETA based on traffic and automatically avoid delays” is available as a 12-month subscription via in-app purchase for an additional $9.99. However, according to a recent blog post on CoPilot’s website, current CoPilot Live v8 users will be able to transfer their existing Active Traffic subscriptions to the new product.
“Transferring your v8 ActiveTraffic™ subscription to your new Premium app is very easy, all you need to do is within the app, go to: MyCoPilot > Features & Upgrades and tap the Restore button in the top right corner. You will be prompted to enter your Apple ID /password. There is no need to do anything to the old version.”
It is also important to note that if you are a current v8 CoPilot user that you will no longer be receiving map updates as of October 15, 2011, giving you even more incentive to upgrade.
Also for an additional $4.99 in-app purchase you can get CoPilot’s Live Fuel Prices feature for 12 months, which gives you “real-time gas prices to find the cheapest gas station nearby or at your destination and navigate directly there” and another $4.99 will get you the Canadian Maps if you need those.
Oh and did I mention the special sale prices are only good through Sunday July 17th?
