Slick Entertainment’s multi-platform drift racing game ScrapMetal dashes on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch this Friday. As you can see in the gameplay video below it is a fast-paced, top-down racing game in the same vein as the classic Super Off Road or EA’s Reckless Racing. Your vehicle (anything from a Muscle car to a Monster Trucks or an Air boats to a tanks) is controlled with just a a single finger. This is a rather unorthodox control scheme for this type of game, so it’ll be interesting to see how it all plays out (literally)
While the iOS version is not quite as feature-rich as it’s XBLA counterpart, its impressive looking graphics and sound certainly make it one of this week’s new releases to watch.
