New Jersey-based Ten One Design, has just announced their innovative new tactile game controller for iPad – Fling. It is an analog stick which adheres to the surface of the iPad’s screen over any game’s virtual d-pad, allowing you to get real tactile feedback while playing. Fling’s unique spiral design creates actual physical resistance so gamers are assured of greater directional control.
Ten One Design claims that Fling works with any iPad game with a directional pad, or virtual joystick, including popular games like Meteor Blitz, Across Age and Super Megaworm, as well as numerous other First Person Shooter and RPG titles for the iPad. To use Fling, simply launch the game of your choice, secure Fling’s center control over the game’s directional pad. Then just place your thumb on the center control to navigate.
The device’s transparent design means that obstruction of the screen is kept to a minimum, and it’s suction cup mechanism means that Fling can easily (and quickly be attached or removed whenever you want. A microfiber bag is also included for storage and doubles as a screen cleaning cloth to removed any smudges or fingerprints.
Fling is available in three different accent colors: Ice, Ninja and Ultraviolet and can be pre-ordered now at www.tenonedesign.com for just $24.95. Pre-ordered units will begin shipping at the end of January.
