Good Morning everybody!

And it is a good morning indeed, with a number of great new iOS titles launching today including SEGA’s iOS port of probably my most-played Dreamcast title, Crazy Taxi!

Other highlights include Pop Cannibal’s logic puzzle game Girls Like Robots and a couple of new releases from Bulkypix

Enough with the blathering, here are my picks of the most notable of today’s new releases.

Universal

Kumo Lumo
Chillingo Ltd

Free

With a paper-like look similar to that of Crescent Moon’s Paper Monsters, this adorable free-to-play high scorer has players heads in clouds as they rain down on baddies.

Universal

Space Disorder
Bulkypix

Free

The first of two new title from Bulkypix this week, is a free-to-play space-themed platformer, with a unique swipe to move control system. It’s free, so you might as well give it a go while waiting for this whole Red Bull Stratos thing to finally go down.

Universal

Funky Smugglers
11 bit studios s.a.

99¢

A funky mashup of the Fruit Ninja and Airport Scanner genres with a 70’s flare, Team Battles and single player missions.

Universal

Girls Like Robots
[adult swim]

99¢

I had the pleasure of checking out this entertaining logic puzzle game at the Indie Showcase at PAX East back in March. It is nice to see that Pop Cannibal has teamed up with Adult Swim Games to publish the title and hopefully it gets the attention it deserves.

Universal

Topia World Builder
Crescent Moon Games

99¢

This is an interesting release, not necessarily a game, more of a zen-like Terraforming experience where you literally mold the planet, raising up mountains or creating cavernous bodies of water, spawning herds of animals and seeing how they interact with one another.

Universal

Super Bunny Breakout™
Zynga

99¢

Zynga’s latest effort combines cute animals with officially licensed Atari Breakout gameplay. Instead of brick breaking you are smashing cages and lab equipment in your quest to free all the animals. The full version contains 48 levels and comes with 5,000 free coins, but there is also a FREE version available as well, which contains just 10 levels.

Universal

Lotsa Blocks
Backabit

99¢

This polished looking stacking game from two-man development team, Backabit features loads of different game modes. There are two single-player campaign modes with 140 levels, and THREE Game Center multiplayer modes (both turn-based and real-time) and some crazy power ups. Sounds like a fun new take on this genre, perfect for both casual and competitive players alike.

Universal

Devil’s Attorney
1337 Game Design AB

$2.99

Phoenix Wright better be careful, there is a new video game lawyer in town and he’s wearing a pimp hat! Morally indifferent and money-loving Attorney Max McMann is the “hero” of this unique (and humorous looking) courtroom turn-based strategy game set in the 80s.

Universal

Reversion – The Escape
Bulkypix

$2.99

Bulkypix is back with another point and click adventure game, this time set in year 2035. You’ve woken up in a mysterious hospital room and have forgotten the 20 last years, but you know your life is in danger and you must escape. Apparently this is the first chapter in a planned series of science fiction point and click adventure games.

iPhone

iPad

MONOPOLY Millionaire
Electronic Arts

$2.99 iPhone
$4.99 iPad

A quicker-pased version of the classic board game where players race to be the first to earn a million dollars. It features both Pass n’ Play or local WiFi multiplayer and is available in (unfortunately) separate and iPad releases.

Universal

Crazy Taxi
SEGA

$4.99

Quite possibly one of my top two favorite titles for the Dreamcast (the other being Power Stone) comes to iOS platforms with the original music from The Offspring and Bad Religion in tact! Woots! Take that PSN and XBLA.
