Last month Twelve South refreshed their distinguished looking BookBook case for the iPad, this month it’s the little guy’s turn.

It is actually not so much a refresh, but rather a second version of their original BookBook leather case / wallet for the iPhone 4/4S, in black. Called the ‘Classic Black‘, this rich, black version of their popular leather-bound book looking case has all the same features and style of the original Vintage Brown version first introduced last year. Marrying a wallet with an iPhone case, the BookBook gives you a single (and rather stylish looking) alternative to traditional cases, which Twelve South claims still maintains the full functionality of the iPhone.

“Taking pictures is just as easy,” said Andrew Green, Creative Director of Twelve South. “You simply pull the top red tab out, push the iPhone up and snap a shot. You can always count on the highest performance from your iPhone camera when the camera is fully exposed.”

It also offers a level and stealth and privacy not found with traditional cases…

In addition to handsome looks, BookBook cleverly disguises iPhone and your activities inside. While you may be texting a friend on your iPhone, from the outside it looks like you are studying the classic works of Shakespeare. Are you memorizing a short poem, or playing a quick game of Angry Birds? This stealthy security of BookBook lets you access iPhone in many places a regular iPhone case could not.

In the gallery, you’ll see and image of how cool it looks with the upcoming iOS 6 feature, Passbook!

Twelve South’s new Classic Black BookBook case is available now at twelvesouth.com for $59.99 and you will soon be able to purchase one at your local Apple Store as well.
