Always a very classy looking way to carry your iPad, Twelve South’s BookBook case gets a much needed redesigned interior.

Gone are the awkward elastic corner straps to keep your iPad in place.

Gone is the cumbersome tying mechanism for angling the iPad for viewing a video or typing.

Say hello to the stunning new BookBook Vol. 2, which features an overall thinner design, with that same classic leather-bound book look. It has been updated with “a soft interior frame that creates a typing stand and multi-angle display while holding iPad securely inside”.

Watch the video below and you’ll see that this is a much cleaner mechanism which offers a more secure fit for your iPad. In fact, now your iPad is protected, even when you want to take a photo. You simply unzip the case and lift the iPad out by the interior frame and you’l have an unobstructed view for photos.

Sorry first generation iPad owners, the new BookBook for iPad is only compatible only with second and third generation iPads and the original BookBook is no longer available for purchase. If you’ve had your eye on these for a while (like me), but were turned off by the previous generation, perhaps it is time to take another look.

A great looking re-design and a stylish way to carry around your iPad, you can pick up your own BookBook for $79.99 in your choice of Classic Black, Vintage Brown, or Vibrant Red.
