You are a nutty professor who has (despite ridicule) dedicated the past 10 years of your life huddled away in your basement developing a black hole generator. Now, as luck would have it, the Earth is under attack from an unending barrage of asteroids, and only you and your life’s work can save the planet! You must use your one-of a kind contraption to strategically place black holes to steer the asteroids away from the Earth.

Clickgamer’s forthcoming game “Black Hole“, is a fun time-management game that will have your fingers tapping. Placing a black hole is simply a matter of touching the screen, and any asteroids near the black hole will be drawn toward it, instantly changing their trajectory path(s). Use multiple black holes to guide the asteroid exactly where you want it to go, or just give it a push in the right direction. You can just redirect the asteroids away from the Earth to keep it safe, or collide two asteroids to obliterate them and earn points. Chaining collisions together will also earn you some big combo multiplier bonuses.

There are several special types of asteroids that, when destroyed, have some unique properties. Frost (blue) asteroids slow down all asteroids within their blast range, Electric (yellow) asteroids will destroy nearby asteroids with a chain lightning bolt, and finally Missile (red) asteroids will destroy the three asteroids closest to the Earth with missiles. If all else fails and an asteroid gets dangerously close to Earth, you have one last-line of defense, tap the Earth to send out a massive shockwave to destroy all of the currently visible asteroids. You only have three of these (level-dependent) so use them wisely.

Black Hole has two game modes, endless and level-based. Endless is fairly self-explanitory, you play as long as you can until an asteroid destroys the Earth. Level-based is broken down into three difficulty settings Easy, Medium and Hard. Each difficulty has 6 levels, with the easy levels lasting 1 minute each, the medium levels 2 minutes each and the hard levels 3 minutes each. Therefore, if you are able to successfully complete each level on your first try, Black Hole’s “level” mode will only take you 36 minutes to complete! Although, Crystal integration with per-level leaderboards, challenges and achievements will definitely offer plenty of incentive to go back and replay the levels. The “Easy” levels, while rather simple, do a really great job of introducing you to each of the special asteroid types. One other nice aspect of the levels is that they are themed (ie. ICE AGE focuses heavily on the Ice asteroids, etc.) and help build up your skills for the endless mode.

Excuse us while we geek-out for a moment…

At first our sci-fi geeks had a bit of an issue believing the game’s premise and it bugged us. We were under the false impression that black holes would not actually deflect asteroids, but instead would just swallow them up. One quick google search and we’re all good, turns out it’s plausible.

In conclusion

Regulars of the “path management” genre will probably find the easy/medium levels to be a bit too easy, but the hard levels and endless mode will offer a bit more of a challenge. Casual gamers will find both the gameplay and controls approachable and intuitive. We are hoping that the final release (or a future update) will contain more levels as the level portion of the game feels a little bit short. The game’s soundtrack has a infectious club beat with nice deep bass elements and sound effects that really come out with headphones. When coupled with the nice explosion animations of the special asteroids, it makes for a pleasing experience for the senses. No word on pricing (we’d venture that this is a $0.99 or $1.99 title) or exact release date, but it should be available soon. Overall we enjoyed Black Hole and felt that it is different enough to offer even time management junkies something a little new and different. We’d recommend checking it out when it’s released.

AppAddict.net Guest Reviewer Will O’Briant was lucky enough to get some hands-on time with a beta release of Com2uS’ upcoming 3D inter-galactic shooting game, Heavy Gunner, here are his impressions…

I recently got my hands on a beta version of Com2uS’ upcoming shooter “Heavy Gunner.” It’s likey that you are already familiar with Com2uS, as they have produced many other great titles for the iPhone including both Homerun Battle 3D and The Chronicles of Inotia. Heavy Gunner is showing a lot of promise and looks to be another highly enjoyable Com2uS title.

Heavy Gunner is a level-based shooter with RPG elements and contains 35 levels (which can be played on one of three difficulty settings.) In each level you are assigned the task of killing a specified number of enemies, surviving a certain amount of time, or even fighting a boss battle. As far as actual gameplay, you are only responsible for controlling the shooting, your player cannot walk around. You adjust your aim through tilt controls, and fire by pressing the two on-screen fire buttons. There is a fire button on each of the bottom corners of the device, as your player is always dual-wielding weapons. The tilt controls still need some tweaking, but being a beta version, more changes will be made.

In between levels, you can upgrade virtually everything via points earned in-game. There are 8 weapons available for purchase and each of these guns’ stats may be upgraded as well (ie. damage, clip size, reload rate, etc.). There is a nice variety of weapons, including everything from a machine gun to a gun that fires electricity. You also have the ability to upgrade your shields, how fast they recover, and your hull capacity.

The graphics are awesome, the futuristic weapon animations and enemy units really pop at you. The game also throws a lot of different environments at you throughout the campaign, like space, volcanoes and more. Aside from the main campaign levels there are several survival stages. I really appreciate that Com2uS put the effort in to add the survival modes, as they really increase the game’s replayabiltity. From what I’ve played of the game so far, it has a ton of replayabiltity, whether it be going back and playing the game to upgrade all 8 weapons, shooting for a high score in survival mode, or playing through the gameagain at a harder difficulty, there is a lot to keep you coming back.

Overall, I am really happy about what I have seen so far, and with some improved tilt controls, Heavy Gunner will be great. The graphics and gameplay mesh together well to create a really fun experience. You should definitely keep your eye on this game.

The game will be published by Chillingo (these guys seem to be snatching up all the hotly anticipated titles!). To sum it up in just one syllable…WOW!

You take on the role of Jax, an “awesome” soccer player, now dumpster diving after a mishap with the Coach of one of the world’s best soccer teams resulted in him being black-listed from every soccer team and stadium in every country in the world! Jax is bitten by a zombie, who just happens to be soccer superstar, turned undead earth-dweller, Julinho, and it appears he i is not alone. Hundreds, if not thousands, of other zombies are shuffling Jax’s way. Having been infected by Julinho, Jax quickly realizes that he now posesses all of Julinho’s mad soccer skills. Knowing that he too will become a zombie in a matter of hours, Jax vows to take down as many zombies as he can before joining their ranks. While searching for a weapon to aid him in his quest, Jax finds Julinho’s soccer ball….and a hero is born.

The basic concept of the game is fairly simple, keep kicking your soccer ball at the hordes of approaching zombies to “kill” them. When you kick the ball it will strike a zombie, either damaging them or killing them and then the ball will bounce back to you and you can aim and take your next shot. Some zombies require more than one hit to be fully destroyed. There is a small bar on the bottom right corner of the screen which illustrates how far you have progressed through the level, so you can get an idea as to when the current barrage of baddies will be over.

The demo version that we received only contained 4 levels, spread across 3 different locations, but there is some nice variety in both location and diffficuly. At the beginning of one of the levels there was a period during which you are running and kicking at the same time. We’d love to see this format used at least a few more times in the final release, as it really mixes things up.

The game’s controls are simple and intuitive. There is a button on the left side of the screen, which you move up and down to aim at your targets; release the button to kick the ball in the direction of the arrow. If you press and hold the button for a short period of time, you will see your soccer ball’s energy charging. A charged ball results in a more powerful PowerKick when it is released. Some zombies can ONLY be killed by a PowerKick so this is a must to master. If you can manage to get a headshot, that not only seems to kill some types of zombies faster than body or limb shots, but it also earns you a higher score.

There is a nice variety of both big and small zombies, each of which has its own slightly unique features, requiring slightly different tactics for disposal. Some zombies will run towards you, some require PowerKicks to kill, others will take 2-3 hits before dying and there are even some that will keep tunneling through the ground, periodically popping up above ground as the creep toward you.

There is a meter on the left side of the screen that builds up as you kill zombies. Kill enough zombies and this will reach critical mass, granting you access to three very special power-up abilities, including:

Lightning Ball - Turns your ball into a high-speed killing machine, allowing you to repeatedly kick the ball more quickly.

Piercing Ball – Allows your ball to go through Zombies like butter. This ball, when it hits a zombie, will go right through that zombie and kill any/all other zombies in its path.

Angry Military Satellite – Allows you to target all the zombies you want to kill and then a huge frickin laser bean shoots down from a satellite in space and obliterates them.

As is immediately evident in the plethora of screenshots and video that we’ve included below, Pro Zombie Soccer is beautifully illustrated and has some really humorous cut-scenes with an absurdly ridiculous back story. The game has a rockin’, heart-thumping soundtrack, complete with a sweet guitar riff (and slow motion) when you complete a level. We can’t wait to get our hands on the full thing when it’s released. We really regret having somehow overlooked this title for inclusion in our most anticipated titles of 2010, because it would definitely be on there! We wish we could tell you when you too will be able to check out Pro Zombie Soccer, but unfortunately as of right now we have no info on a possible release date or price point. Stay tuned to AppAddict.net and we will post an update when we know more.

It appears our friends across the pond have already gotten access to Blacksmith Games’s debut title PLUSHED, but here in the US, we’ll have a little longer to wait until Midnight (local time). In case you’ve been living under a rock for the month of December, Blacksmith Games is also the genius development studio behind the Appvent Calendar website, which is arguably the most talked about App Store promotion since Pop Cap Games put one of their games on sale for $0.99 and introduced “pulling a Peggle” into our Lexicon.

Fortunately, we must have been on Santa’s “nice list” since Blacksmith Games actually sent us over an early copy of the game a few days ago. Believe us when we tell you that you are in for a real treat. PLUSHED is a slightly twisted platformer that feels like Lewis Caroll and Tim Burton had a hand in making. As you can see from the screenshots and video provided, the game is rather striking aesthetically. There are lots of little (twisted) details in the lush scenery that you may not catch the first few times through a level.

You take on the roll of a plush bunny who is trying to find the little girl who owns him after they were both pulled into a Fairytale book as a result of a magical spell gone astray, leaving them stranded in the world of Fairytales. Face off against all manner of storybook characters including some cannibalistic Hansels and Gretels (guess all that candy and witch killing went to their heads), and even bigger baddies in the end-of-level boss battles.

At the beginning of each level you meet some whacked-out inhabitant of this odd Fairytale world who tasks you with a mission to complete, which may be to find their lost pigs or perhaps some lollipops to stop the babies from crying. This is done via some humorous dialog that we recommend that you actually take the time to read (don’t worry it’s not a near-novel length, like Super Paper Mario). Along the way you can collect hundreds of golden scarabs, which will unlock additional minigames. There are starred checkpoints within the levels and you will also quickly notice that you are given an unlimited number of lives, which turns out to be a very good thing since there are some areas of the levels which can get rather tricky.

Movement of the bunny is controlled by left and right arrows and you tap anywhere on the screen to jump. There are also certain areas of the game in which you have to shake the device to perform an action pick up and object by touching it with your finger and drag/drop it somewhere else on the screen to use it. The controls are nicely thought out, very responsive and worked flawlessly.

We are really enjoying this game and can’t wait to play the official build very soon. We definitely recommend picking up the game not only on its own merits as a unique, challenging and entertaining platformer, but also to help support Blacksmith Games who has already brought you 20+ free games (and counting).

The Tap Tap series once reigned supreme in the rhythm game genre on the iPhone, but recently it has seen some serious competition with EA Mobile’s Rock Band, and its supremacy is about to be challenged again when Clickgamer releases its DJ Nights: Global Tour title later this week. The game is developed by MusiGames (Drums Challenge), who is no stranger to the when it comes to the art of combining computers and music. AppAddict was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to try out this new finger tapper over the weekend and we are officially and completely hooked.

DJ Nights’ musical focus is Electronic/House/Dance music and plays similarly to other games in the genre, but adds “record scratching”, “vibe mode” and a new game mechanic called “tap anywhere”. Notes will slide down one of the three paths in the center of the screen and when they pass over the bar at the bottom of the screen, you must tap to play them. Depending on your accuracy and timing, you are given a “perfect”, “good”, “bad”, or “miss” score for the note. Sometimes multiple notes need to be played at the same time, requiring two fingers to tap the screen simultaneously! DJ Nights does a great job of keeping your fingers moving with a variety of additional actions as well. Other notes will need to be tapped and held, or you may need to shake your device forward, or spin your finger to simulate scratching on one of the game’s two turntables. Finally there is “vibe mode” which players can periodically enable. During “vibe mode” all points earned will be multiplied, so it’s best to enable this during periods containing a large number of notes to really rack up a high score.

When we first heard about the “tap anywhere” game mechanic, we were a little concerned that this would dumb down gameplay, and it’d be like Tap Tap Revenge with training wheels. We are happy to report that right from our first playthrough, we quickly realized that this was not the case. In fact, tap anywhere really opens up the screen and enables players to see what’s going on, without their fingers getting in the way. It allows you to truly appreciate the game’s beautiful graphical elements. With the location requirement taken out of the equation, players can now focus solely on the rhythm. While we feel that the traditional game mechanisms work just fine, we found that the slight “simplification” offered by tap anywhere freed us up to focus more on the music and less on the actual note objects, allowing us to get into a real groove. Like one of the included songs exclaims “You Gotta Feel Free” and we certainly agree.

In its initial release, DJ Nights : Global Tour will have 12 songs by top electronic artists from the leading electronic record label Black Hole Recordings. We’ll be the first to admit that we are not at all familiar with what’s hot in the electronic music scene, but the two songs we were able to try (more on this later) were fantastic! Navigate the globe, hopping from club to club to unlock and experience each song. Casual and Advanced difficultly levels, as well as OpenFeint achievements, and future free and paid DLC will keep you coming back for more. We are not sure if it was a limitation of the preview build we had, or just an inadequacy on our part, but we were unable to unlock more than just two of the songs. Having played this game for hours, constantly improving our scores, moving up the OpenFient leaderboards, we are inclined to say that it was the former. Either way, this showed us that Clickgamer needs to more clearly explain to the player, the criteria for unlocking new levels.

We had a blast with DJ Nights: Global Tour and look forward to trying out the rest of the songs as well. Although, our experience was not without a few minor hiccups. Besides the unlocking issue, we did experience an occasional graphical stutter, and the initial load time was 20+ seconds on our second gen iPod Touch. Like we said, these are minor issues that did not severely detract from our enjoyment of the games and we are hoping they will be fixed in either the final official release or a point update. At $2.99, DJ Nights : Global Tour falls smack in the middle of the price range for the genre. We definitely recommend checking this game out, both avid electronic music fans and casual listeners will love the game’s infectious beats and inviting tap anywhere control scheme. Your fingers will certainly get a workout!

We had the opportunity to get our hands on the final build of Clickgamer’s Tumble Jumble before it hits the App Store next week, lets just say…you are in for a treat!

Tumble Jumble : Intergalactic Rodent Removals is a fantastic new physics-based puzzle game from Clickgamer. As an employee of the Intergalactic Rodent Removal Company, you must rotate and drop a specified number of block-shaped rodents into containers while avoiding a variety of obstacles, including lasers and evil platforms. Tumble Jumble’s game play is similar to Tetris, but has some really nice physics aspects that make it a much more fun and interesting game. A finite set of different shaped polygons will drop from the top of the screen and players must find a way to fit all of the pieces into the container, without anything sticking up over the top. Unlike Tetris, where you only see a preview of the next piece, in Tumble Jumble you actually see a preview of the next five upcoming pieces so you can strategize ahead. While the pieces are falling you can adjust them left, right, speed their descent, or rotate them clockwise or counter clockwise, but as soon as the piece touches either the side wall or another object, the player has no more control over it. When your object lands, gravity and momentum takes over and the “rodent” will settle or shift until it finds its final resting place. This can end up helping or hurting your chances at success. There is a counter at the top of the screen which tells you how mant pieces you have left to fit into the container.

Clickgamer has further varied gameplay by adding some additional elements that (now ordinary looking) Tetris never had. A few special blocks are included, which when they touch another object, will either destroy it, removing it from the container, or enlarge it, causing it to take up more space. There are also certain red-colored objects in the container which, if touched, will cause you to instantly lose the game.

All these gaming aspects lead to a game that is tremendously fun and challenging, if not a little frustrating at times. Some levels require perfect execution, while others are a bit more forgiving. It did take a few play throughs to get used to the game’s Physics component, but once we did, it added some really nice complexity and depth to the game.

While the pieces look more like cute polygons with eyes than “rodents” to us, we really liked Tumble Jumble’s stylized vector graphics, and were instantly drawn into the game. This visual style is complemented nicely by a beautifully composed piano & woodwind soundtrack, that is a pleasure to listen to. Although the mellowness of the music is offset by occasional harsh Industrial sounding bells and whistles, which make you feel like you are in a factory setting. In between stages, players are treated to some amusing animations which help to explain the game’s storyline.

Tumble Jumble features over 60 levels, broken up into EASY, MEDIUM, HARD and EXTREME puzzles, with the player having to complete the majority of levels in one difficulty before being able to progress to the next.

The level difficulties ratings didn’t always seem to be appropriate, with some of the levels classified as “Easy” being fairly difficult. Upon completion of a level, you can submit their score (time) to the per-level global leaderboards to see how it stack up against other players around the world, and the developers themselves. Accessing the global leaderboard info was fast and seamless, and you can quickly keep replaying levels to try and improve your standings.

Further expanding the game’s repalyability, Clickgamer has thought to include a full-featured built-in level editor, providing players with an infinite number of levels limited only by their creativity. The level editor is super easy to use, you just drag and drop your obsticles, then slect the blocks you want and which order you’d like the player to place them in. It literally took us less than 30 seconds to get a great level up and running. Name your level, set its difficulty and save it for future play, or go back and edit it at any time. The only thing we thought was missing from the level editor, is a means of sharing the levels amongst other players online, hopefully we might see this in a future update.

We always like to offer our two cents on suggestions for improvement, so here it goes. As mentioned before, we’d like to see a means for sharing user-generated levels. Overall the game’s controls were really solid, with one exception. We sometimes found ourselves over-rotating objects, so it It would be nice to have a way to adjust the sensitivity of the rotation controls. Finally we think it’d be cool if Clickgamer could add some accelerometer support that would allow players to tilt the device a little to play with the gravity and help shift (already landed blocks) a little left or right, to make a little room at the top for more objects.

Being burnt out on Tetris, honestly we were a little hesitant picking up this game. Although, any reservations we had were quickly squashed when we discovered that Clickgamer had come up with a truly engaging game that, while at first glance may seem like just another Tetris game, has a lot more depth and substance. Tumble Jumble will be available on the App Store next week for the low price of just $0.99.

We highly recommend the game, especially to fans of Tetris and people who like to overpack their suitcases. Clickgamer and developer Utopian Games have created an entertaining little puzzle game loaded with value and hours of entertainment.

If you thought doing simple arithmetic in your head was difficult before, imagine trying to remember the order of operations and your multiplication tables with the fate of humanity resting in your hands!

We were fortunate enough to get an early look at the final build for a soon to be released action puzzler “Genius Defense Force” from developer Apocalypse Train and publisher Clickgamer. G.D.F. will definitely put your simple math skills to the test. The game has bit of a Japanese feel to it, between levels there are off-the-wall anime cutscenes starring (17 PhD. holding) Professor M., Lt. Sabrine, and (K-9 look-alike F.I.D.O) that will make you chuckle at their sheer cheesiness and outlandishness.

There is a meteor storm headed toward Earth and you must destroy the meteors before the hit the Earth by solving basic math problems. To play, you just select the object (or meteor) that you want to destroy and you are presented with a value and a series of numbers and operands and you must form an equation that properly computes to the given value. You can keep attempting to come up with the proper equation until you get it correct, or if you get stuck, you can request a new set of numbers/operands to solve. To win the level, destroy all of the meteors (or other attacking objects) before they break through the Earth’s shield. f you dont destroy an object before it hits Earth, then you will lose some of your shield. Get hit too many times and the shield will be breached and the level will be over. Upon completion of a level, you are awarded with a letter-grade depending on how well you did. Completion-ists and/or Adrian Monk will be happy to know that you have the ability to replay levels at any time to try to improve your grade. In later levels you have the ability to chain explosions together, causing a chain-reaction that will take out several of the approaching meteors with just a single solved equation. Although, this may require players to line up “shots” before solving an equation if they want to successfully destroy all the objects on the screen.

The first 10 of the game’s 30 levels were quite easy, but do a good job of introducing you to the game mechanics and building up the various types of objects that you’ll see in the game. After level 10, the game definitely picks up in both difficulty and speed. Never mind going for that “A”, you may find yourself just hoping to be fast enough to survive. There is definitely some strategy involved in deciding the order in which to take out the approaching meteors. Some experimentation and multiple attempts, along with a little luck, will be necessary if you want to successfully complete the game. If you are a whiz at basic math (cough cough NERD cough cough) then the game also offers a reverse Polish notation setting that will offer even more of a challenge.

I appears that Clickgamer is trying to reach a wide audience with this title. We could see this as a fun vehicle for improving one’s basic math skills, but we could also see individuals with poor math skills getting frustrated and thinking the game is too difficult. We found the aforementioned Anime cut scenes to be very entertaining and humorous, but the content would easily go over a younger player’s head. G.D.F. has nice graphics and sound, nothing groundbreaking here, but they work well for the game. Genius Defense Force is currently slated for a November release at a $0.99 price point. We definitely recommend Genius Defense Force to any/all Math geeks; a math game with “Boss Battles”, we are in nerd heaven! Anyone who is less than enthused by doing math w/o a calculator, this could be a fun way to improve your in-head math skills.

We were lucky enough to get our hands on an early copy (of the final build) of Dundee-based Developer 4J Studios new single-player poker game Texas Wuggle. The control scheme is based on their critically acclaimed word puzzle game Wuggle, but for the most part, the game plays very much like Texas Hold’em poker. You are first dealt two cards with which to determine your betting and then you have a total of 7 cards at your disposal to form your poker hand. While you cannot raise your bet mid-hand, unlike in traditional Texas Hold’em, you do have the opportunity to swap out cards to try to form a better hand.

You arrange your cards by dragging them around the screen. While the orientation of the cards is not necessarily important, the cards that you are going to use in your hand are. Once you have the five cards you want to use in your hand grouped together, you just sweep your finger across them, “striking them together” to form your poker hand. If you attempt to form an invalid hand, the cards will flash red. The normal poker-hand rankings apply, with two pair earning you the lowest money multiplier and a Royal Flush earning the highest. If you are having some trouble finding a hand, there are some built-in hint systems including pulsating cards and scrolling poker hints that may assist you. If you are unable to form a valid poker hand and you don’t have any bombs (more about these in a second) then you will automatically fold, lose your bet, and the hand will be re-dealt. You start out with three bombs, these can be used to swap out an individual card. You will get a new bomb with every new hand that is dealt, but can only have a maximum of three bombs at any given time.

There are two distinct game modes, Survivor and Spree, each offering a unique game play experience.

In Survivor Mode you are basically racing against a clock to find as many poker hands as you can before the time runs out. Increasingly higher bets are automatically made for you, and in any given deal, depending on how quickly you find a hand, you will win 100%, 50% or 0% of the pot. The faster that you find a valid poker hand, the more money you earn. This mode plays out more like a pattern finding game than real poker, since you don’t really have time to swap out cards in an attempt to form the very best poker hand you can. If you want to earn the most money, you’ll most likely only have time to find whatever hand you can from the cards that were dealt, then it’s a race to get them grouped together so you can strike them. During our play-throughs of the game in Survivor Mode, we were always dealt at least two pair in every hand, negating the need to ever use a bomb to form a valid hand. We should also note that in the rush of Survivor mode, we did occasionally run into issues where our hand would not strike together if one (or more) of the five cards was not oriented vertically. It would be nice if the sensitivity could be tweaked slightly to help recognize horizontally oriented cards as well.

Spree mode has no time limit, but play stops after ten hands of poker, or whenever you run out of money. We especially enjoyed this mode, as it plays more like real poker. You decide how much you want to bet, flicking the chips into the center of the table (very cool effect). Before betting you get to see two of the cards in your hand and based on these cards you decide how much you would like to bet. Within the 10 hands you try to earn as much money as you can. We were having so much fun that we were a little bummed that you only got to play 10 hands, but we can see why this was done. This restriction allows for a proper high score list to see how much money a person can make given the same number of hands. If you want a high score then you have to (as the saying goes) bet big or go home!

In either mode, you begin your “poker adventure” in a back alley game in an old warehouse and you play *and hopefully win) to advance all the way up to the luxurious high roller’s table where the stakes and winning are much higher. You progress to the next level once your bankroll reaches the current table’s “Break Out” limit.

The games graphics are really well done and succeed in creating the perfect look and feel for this style of game. Uniquely illustrated tables for each table location and a worn look to the card edges are just some of the nice little details that 4J Studios have put into the game. The card dragging is smooth and natural. The in-game music was catchy and for the most part the sound effects worked rather well. The one exception being that the clicking noise heard when sliding cards around seemed a bit out of place. If a more appropriate sound effect was used that was more natural and better portrays “sliding cards”, we think it would be less distracting and add to the ambiance of the game. We believe the current sound effect is probably just a carry over from the original Wuggle game. We’d also love to see the addition of Agon, OpenFeint or Plus+ to add global leaderboards and/or achievements to the game, but this would really just be gravy. Ideally we’d love to see a multiplayer mode added in the future.

If you are looking for a hard-core multiplayer Texas Hold’em game, then you should definitely look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you are looking for a more casual, single-player poker game, that’s not just the same-Texas Hold’em game, then Texas Wuggle is certainly worth a look. You can follow the game on Twitter ‘@TexasWuggle’ and when the game launches later this month at a price of just $0.99 you can post screenshots of your high scores online to win a copy of the original Wuggle. Watch the gameplay video below to get a better idea of how the game is played.
