boston-fig-iconIf you live around the Boston area and love playing games, then you definitely want to check out the 5th Annual Boston Festival of Indie Games, which is being held from 9am to 8pm tomorrow at the MIT – Johnson Athletic Center in Cambridge, MA.

Last year was the first time I attended this event and it was a lot of fun. Lots of great games, great people and a well run show.

With over 50 digital titles to check out in this year’s Digital Game Showcase and another 40+ in the Tabletop Game Showcase, there are going to be a TON of games to check out across a wide variety of genres and for all age groups.

So if you live in the Boston area, you should definitely consider going to the show and supporting the independent game development community in New England and neighboring regions. Talk to the developers and designers and play their unique and innovative games. Who knows, you may just get to check out the next megahit before it strikes it big.

Kids 12 and under are free and single badges are $15, groups of 4 are $50.

If you want to see some of the neat games that I checked out last year, you can read about it here.
