Kids got to interact with a diverse cast of characters in several locations around town including a grocery store and a restaurant where they could buy and prepare food, a home, a pond and more. The app received numerous updates and additional locations, content and surprises which basically let kids’ imaginations run wild and Toca Town quickly became one of my daughters’ top picks (if not the top pick) of 2014.
Next week Toca Boca will be releasing a second app in what they’ve now classified as their “Toca Life” series, this time set in a city. Born out of the over 10,000 feature requests received by Toca Boca after Toca Town was released, Toca Life: City will feature a brand new cast of 28 fun, customizable characters and an even bigger world for kids to create, explore and discover. Initially there will be four locations: a loft apartment, shopping mall, hair salon and food park with 7 different stands to buy sushi, burgers, fish ‘n chips and more.

Just like in Town, there are treasures hidden everywhere in the City! Take out cash at the ATM, change outfits, wash your clothes and go for coffee with a friend. There’s something for every age!
