What an awesome night of new releases we have in store for us this evening, especially at the 99¢ price point!

There are some really strong contenders from some of your favorites studios including Disney, Chillingo, Ravenous Games and SEGA (and Owlchemy Labs).

With the majority of these titles falling in at under a dollar, I suspect that, like me, many of you will be picking up a number of these new games. As far as the paid titles go, I will certainly be picking up Random Heroes, Jack Lumber and Critter Escape (at a minimum).

How about you, which of these new temptations will you be playing at 11pm EST tonight?

Universal

Disney Fish Hooks
Disney

Free

If you have kids and cable TV, then odds are you’ve watched at least part of an episode of the animated series Fish Hooks. Disney releases this seemingly free to play underwater physics-based adventure puzzle game starring characters from the show. An instant pickup for my girls for sure.

Universal

Meeblings
Ninja Kiwi

Free

The folks that brought you the Bloons series of games have ported over another of their Flash titles, a puzzle game called Meeblings. In each level you’ve got to try and rescue as many of these cute critters as possible.

Universal

Random Heroes
Ravenous Games

99¢

So the creators of League of Evil are releasing a new retro platformer and the levels are longer than those in LoE…INSTABUY!

Universal

Flip’s Escape
Shaun Inman

99¢

This game picks up just after the successful rescue of AMI in Inman’s previous title, The Last Rocket. Now you must try to control Flip as he tries to ‘outrun a stellar shockwave’ in this retro arcade-style endless flyer/dodger.

Universal

Jack Lumber
SEGA

99¢

Now we come to perhaps my most highly anticipated titles of the night, Jack Lumber. You may recall that I was rather excited about this game coming out of PAX East and now the wait is finally over. It is a brilliantly hilarious bullet-time / path drawing game featuring a tree-hating lumberjack with supernatural powers. It also seem that the game caught the eye of the powers that be over at SEGA. The Owlchemy team is keeping mum about any details, but the New Zealand App Store reveals that SEGA is the one publishing the game. (Congrats guys!) I’m told that an amazingly awesome new trailer for the game is coming tomorrow which was created by indie trailer maker extraordinaire, Kert Gartner. So check back for the trailer in the space below, sometime tomorrow. The game is ON SALE for the first three days for just 99¢

Universal

Critter Escape
Chillingo Ltd

99¢

This is a really cool looking stealth-based adventure game that I cannot wait to get my hands on. The trailer makes it look a little like a gore-less version of the XBLA title Warp (which I loved).

Universal

Puzzle Craft
Chillingo Ltd

99¢

While it is a mashup of genres I tend to avoid (town building sim and match-three puzzler), Puzzle Craft looks oddly compelling.

Universal

Tread of the Dead
Spencer Cordes

99¢

Looking for your zombie fix, this tilt-based survival game where “you must steer your weapons to kill approaching zombies before you are infected” may be just what the doctor ordered. A free lite version is also available.

Universal

Mad Skills BMX
Turborilla

99¢

If you didn’t get enough BMX action last week, then here’s another polished looking bike racing game from the talented team at Turborilla who were responsible for last year’s Mad Skills Motocross.
